Every guide aims to be useful even if you never buy anything: what to look for, what questions to ask, and what your options are, including doing it yourself. When we compare products or services, we say when the comparison was done, because prices and features change.

Keeping things current

Technology and prices change quickly. Every article shows the date it was first published and the date it was last updated. Older articles that describe discontinued devices are marked so you know they’re out of date.
